Fairest of the Fair

This year we will be selecting our eighth Fairest of the Fair. Come on Thursday at 1:30 pm to watch these talented contestants compete for the opportunity to be the spokesperson for the Central Wisconsin State Fair. At 11:00 am Friday, Theresa Schiferl will be crowning the new Fairest of the Fair. Thanks to Bents Chiropractic, LLC and V&H Heavy Trucks, the winner of this competition will receive a $1,000 scholarship and the runner-up will receive a $200 scholarship.

Music City Brass

Zor Funster Clowns

Everyone loves a clown! The Zor Funster Clowns have been part of our Sunday entertainment for seven years. Kids and adults alike, enjoy the zany fun these clowns provide as they roam the fairgrounds Sunday afternoon. The Zor Funster Clowns are a unit of Zor Shrine Temple based in Wisconsin Rapids. The money they raise supports nineteen orthopedic hospitals and three burn centers. any child accepted into these hospitals receives care at no charge.

Ag Magic

Location: Hockey Building

Our theme this year is "Agriculture, the Root of Our Fair." Although agriculture is a large part of the economy in Wood County, we are also a very diverse community with a large population that does not make their living in agriculture.

Ag magic is an Ag-awareness entertainment show. It is a completely engaging show with kids and parents not only helping in making the magic happen, but also testing their own agricultural knowledge. Rhonda Renee is a second-generation entertainer, but comes from a sixth generation farming family.

The first edition of Popular Mechanics Magazine (1923) was devoted entirely to the building of a "Camp Car." It illustrated how to build a camper with supplies and drawings to create one's own Dream Camper.

Sheriff Boots and Deputy Britches will be bringing their 1923 Ford Dream Camper to the Central Wisconsin State Fair. This fully equipped RV even comes with the ultimate luxury, an outhouse on wheels, complete with corn cobs.

Boots and Britches, with their converted Model T Dream Camper, bring back memories of bygone era. They will take you on a never ending journey telling stories of their adventures, punctuated by Blue Grass renditions of their many exploits.

Bob Bohm Family Entertainment

We are excited to have Bob Bohm with his Magic Show and Survivor Game Show returning to the fair. Bob will be performing two separate shows on alternate days.

The Magic of Bob Bohm is a journey into the world of wonders and delight. Amazing magic and illusions are combined with hilarious audience participation. The magic of Bob Bohm is a journey along a fine line between illusion and reality and where those two meet, it's called . . . magic! Come experience the wonder with amazing magic illusion and variety show packed with wholesome entertainment for the whole family. Bob puts on a family oriented show and everything is performed with a comical and entertaining flair.

Survivor Family Game Show

Join in the fun as audience members of all ages play silly games of skill to hilarious results. Audience volunteers are cast as members of the cast from "Gilligan's Island" TV show. To the cheers and applause of their fellow audience members, contestants find themselves eating bugs (Gummi Bugs), spinning hula hoops, dancing the limbo, yelling like Tarzan and more. Winners are saved from being eliminated and the audience votes for the final "Survivor."

Bob Bohm's Street Magic

The history tent celebrates the history of Marshfield and Wood County. Our theme of "Enjoy the Great Outdoors" will be featured in the historical displays. Our Wood county historians always make this a very interesting place to browse while at the fair.

Come fly in the M-4 Simulator. Experience the thrill of riding in a Jet Intercept, P-51 Mustang and more. This ride simulates high-speed flight and provides thrilling 360 degree motion experience.

Fantasy Corral

Location: Children's Park

Sponsored by: St. Joseph's Hospital, Veolia Waste Services

Back by popular demand the Fantasy Corral is a wonderful educational experience for young and old alike. An array of exotic and baby animals will be in Children's Park to delight fairgoers. Staff members will be on hand to answer questions and provide additional information about the exhibit. This is an excellent exhibit and we are happy to have them back again this year.
