The Back 40 Band is a local group from Central Wisconsin, formed in 2024. What started as a house band at a neighborhood bar quickly turned into something more when we discovered how our different styles complemented each other.
Blending country roots with powerful instrumentation and a shared passion for storytelling, we found our sound—what we proudly call “Heavy Western.” It’s built on songs with a few chords and the truth, and it captures everything we love about country music.
Inspired by the legends of the genre as well as today’s hits, The Back 40 brings a fresh shine to both classic and modern country favorites. We’re here to help you unwind, kick back, and end your hard work week the right way.
