2023 Fairest of the Fair

Taylor Kundinger

Taylor Kundinger

Hello, my name is Taylor Kundinger.

I live on a small hobby farm, where my family raises beef cattle and ornamental poultry. I have been involved with the Central Wisconsin State Fair ever since I was very young. My mother has a picture of me at the fair at 2 weeks old, showing sheep in open class. As long as I can remember, my family has exhibited at the fair. I am a third generation exhibitor with my parents as well as with my Nana and Papa. We started with sheep but as my sister and I got older, we realized that we like showing beef better. So, we made a switch to cattle and I have been showing cattle ever since. In 2019, my second year of showing, I had the great honor of winning my showmanship class in the junior show at the Central Wisconsin State Fair.

On a personal note, in my freshman year of high school when I received the Marshfield Clinic/YMCA Teen Character Award, I was asked to give a quote for the event banquet program. My quote was the following from Dr. Seuss: "Be who you are and say how you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind. You have brains in your head, you have feet in your shoes, you can steer yourself in any direction you choose."

Steering myself down the path of life, I have always been an open, honest person who tries to do my best at everything.
